Bleacher Bum. . . Bock, o.k. not the bock you’re used to. Let’s call it a small bock, or a true bock. The second runnings from the dopplebock are collected to make this beer. In the old world this is how bock beer was made. Fairly dark in color for an easy drinking lager, but ultra smooth and clean in the finish, with subtle malt flavors peaking thru.
Chester Brown Ale… In the past, Thursday nights were spent listening to Chester Brown. We thought it only fair to name our brown ale after the boys. Like the band, smooth in nature, well balanced, and great intermingling of flavors.
Curse The Goat Dopplebock… Monks brewed dopplebocks for Lent. While fasting, they were allotted a few liters of beer a day to sustain life. For forty days all they could consume was beer, so they made it strong, and hearty. Our dopplebock is both strong and hearty, while also being ultra smooth. On tap April 13th for the Cubs home opener. Served in a 10.5 ounce glass.
Discombourbonlation… A very special offering from Shoreline, aging our Discombobulation Barley Wine in a twelve year old bourbon barrel, for six months. The flavors are intense, as well as the alcohol content. Hints of vanilla, oak, and a slight, bourbon sweetness, make this malt filled beer a treat.
Three Sum IIPA . . .An imperial IPA, full bodied and balanced with a huge amount of hops. Three types of high alpha average hops combined to hop over the top in this beautiful beer, served in a ten and a half ounce glass.
Lost Sailor Imperial Stout. . .A very special offering from Shoreline, intense chocolate, coffee and warm alcohol flavors abound in this strong stout. Made with two types of richly roasted Allegro coffee, from our friends at Lakeshore coffee. Served in a 10 and a half ounce glass.
Sesh Wheat Ale. . .Extremely refreshing American style wheat ale, made with over 30% wheat, and all Amarillo hops for a refreshing citrus balance. A great session ale.
Region Rat Red Ale…A medium bodied malty ale, with a rich amber hue, balanced nicely with cascade hops.
Smokestack Porter. . .Smooth dark Porter, with a touch of smoked malt. Not overpowered with smoke flavor, more of an accent to the underlying caramel and chocolate notes.
Queen Mum India Pale Ale… IPA’s were born out of necessity, while England was colonizing India. The long trip to India found the troops with spoiled beer. Brewing a beer with higher alcohol, and hop contents aided in preserving the beer, making all the troops happy on their long voyage. Our IPA is true to style using all English grains, and hops, providing a full bodied beer, with a strong hop finish.
